Mookin Bibonmari Aboriginal Tours/Arts welcomes you to North Stradbroke Island. Enjoy a leisurely 45 minute vehicle ferry trip or a 25 minute water taxi across beautiful Moreton Bay. Come and enjoy the many wonders this ancient island has on offer - share in our stories & learn about Aboriginal culture, past and present.

Visit the Mookin Bibonmari Art Gallery in Dunwich where we have an assortment of art depicting the Goenpul culture of North Stradbroke Island by Aboriginal artist Brendon Coghill.

Our tours are aimed at large groups such as; prep, primary,  secondary schools, universities, government departments and other large groups with own transport. We also come to you within the Brisbane metropolitan area doing cultural talks, boomerang art workshops such as throwing and painting a boomerang. Our artist will also display artwork and talk about how different signs and symbols are used throughout his paintings.

Mookin Bibonmari Aboriginal Tours/Arts offers you a true understanding about Aboriginal culture from a Goenpul perspective to North Stradbroke Island. This unique experience can be enjoyed by all ages; we also have arts and souvenirs representative of Goenpul Dreamtime stories.

With every tour our guide will meet your bus at the ferry/boat terminal or at our gallery. We will then proceed to Polka Point and after a short introduction our guide will welcome you to the island also acknowledging the traditional people of the land before commencing the tour.

Participate in painting your own boomerang and try your hand at throwing one. Our guide/artist will lead you through this unique experience that can be enjoyed by all ages. Our artist Brendon Coghill will also display artworks and explain how signs and symbols are used to create a painting. Paints, brushes and boomerangs provided. These are 'returnable' boomerangs which you get to keep.
